This works well in a large "great room"--37' x 15'. Quiet and energy efficient. My wood stove is not centered in the room, so one end gets warmer than the other without this tool. I would recommend for someone with a similar issue.

If you are looking for a decorative conversational piece and have extra cash on hand, this product may be for you. If you are looking to circulate heat from your wood burner, put your money elsewhere. Fortunately, Amazon has a most excellent return policy.

I am very satisfied ! Very quiet and works a treat. My husband doesn't think it makes any difference but I can tell when I move to the other room that it's warmer than it used to be without it. Well worth the $. Thanks

Doesn't move much air, but it's a clever gadget. I doubt I'll ever recoup the cost through energy savings over the stove's electric blower.

I bought this fan as I have a big old drafty house. The main floor has a small wood stove. I keep the house cool (58) and then use the wood stove to try and make it bearable. Before the fan purchase the house would only be "warmish" near the stove (ie a few feet radius) and I'd be wandering around my house wearing anything I could get my hands on. I purchased this fan and have noticed that the entire room that the wood stove is in feels much warmer after the fan and stove have been running a bit. I no longer wear crazy combinations of clothing and blankets. The fan is almost completely silent and unlike electric fans on the floor in front of the stove, won't blow ashes all over my house. It's a neat concept, starts spinning around 150 to 200 degrees, and slows down when the stove cools. For me, this purchase was worth it just to silently redistribute the heat.
